Hybrid Approach

 

Sequoia STAR Academy uses a blended model, sometimes referred to as a hybrid approach. The AdvancED accredited curriculum at Sequoia STAR is presented to the students through computers AND traditional face to face instruction.

 

By nature, students do not work at the same pace. The computer based instruction allows students to work at their chosen pace, receiving remediation or supplementation when necessary. During the face-to-face instruction, rather than particular curriculum themes being presented to an entire class, concepts are presented to smaller groups of students.
